CROSS MEDIA CAFE: DATA-DRIVEN CONTENT

The next Cross Media Café is approaching. Together with the Institute for Sound and Vision, Media Perspectives is organizing another afternoon-filling conference about data and content. Does content steer data? Or will data steer content? You can make of it what you want: data-driven content strategy, data-driven content creation, data-driven content recommendation, etc.

Program and speakers
The conference will take place from 14:00h – 17:00h at the Institute for Sound and Vision. During the walk-in, at 13:30, and the drinks afterward, at 18:00, there will be ample opportunity to network and speak to experts and other attendees.

14.00h – 15.15h
• Welcome by Monique van Dusseldorp, moderator.
• Frank Visser, Project Manager Data, Media Perspectives, presents the Data4Media project.
• Laura Bäck is a student at the Rotterdam Erasmus University and is researching data usage among Dutch media companies. Together with the audience we will look at her first findings.
• Daan Odijk, Lead data scientist, RTL, presents an innovative data case of RTL.
• René Nederhand, Founder/Director PrimedIO. Nederhand discusses the use of tracking and personalization and its effects on conversion and user retention at RTL.
• Jouko Huismans, Founder/Director Mediaconnect.io, shows how ID&T and the EO youth channel make use of engagement data for their media production.
• Joost de Wit, Founder Media Distillery, makes use of artificial intelligence to understand video and audio.

• Geert-Jan Stengholt, Project Manager and Leonieke Verhoog, Concept Developer media VPRO and a number of innovative projects.
• Leon Backbier, Manager ICT with Endemol Netherlands about sentiment analyses around GTSR.
• Rick Hoving, Project Leader Strategy & Innocation, Ster. How do you predict response rate? Ster is working on a commercial evaluation tool based on machine learning.
• Kasimir Landheer, Data & Strategy Director, FremantleMedia, will show how data influence format development.
