Mobility as a service

MaaS

Finished

The Expertise Centre for User-Oriented Mobility Services (MaaS) is a continuation of the Expertise Centre for Public Transport Payment. The first phase consists of research and design activities related to Mobility as a Service (MaaS); the range of flexible, partly demand-driven, multimodal mobility services that can be planned, booked, travelled and paid via a digital platform (often a mobile app).

By means of a user-oriented, integrated approach, solutions are generated that meet the wishes of travellers and the interests of the various stakeholders.

Questions that will be answered in this project
• How should a demand-driven mobility service be designed so that it is accessible to everyone and can provide a pleasant user experience on demand?
• How can we give travellers more insight and trust in their travel costs (price transparency and ‘best price’)?
• What does a MaaS service design suitable for the Netherlands look like for door-to-door planning and payment and travel changes?
• What are critical usage factors for a successful MaaS concept in a Dutch context?

Project budget approx. € 274,000, whereby € 65,000 PPP Allowance is used.

Participating parties are: Delft University of Technology, Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management, TransLink, OV-Campus (DOVA, CROWKpVV, NDOV), 9292 REISinformatiedroep, GVB, RET, and Traveller Association Rover.
