Innovation acceleration research project Eems Delta

This project concerns a public-private partnership researching new methods of organizing 'care for health' within the framework of the Knowledge and Innovation Agenda on Social Earning Capacity.

In the Eems Delta region (the new municipality resulting from the municipalities of Delfzijl, Appingedam and Loppersum), well-being, health care and thus livability are under pressure. In the Innovation Workshop Eems Delta, the various cooperating parties come together with the aim of:

• to be a place that offers perspective for the region;
• to be a testing ground with great ambitions where people want to make a difference every day;
• increase self-reliance of caregivers, family/neighbors and practitioners in the region.

The outcomes of the direction group will serve as input for the Regional Center of Expertise and multiple initiatives that will support the transition from care to (positive) health. The ambition is to take a leading (inter)national position in the development of this approach.

This living lab will look at how the new way of thinking, working together and arriving at sustainable care solutions for the area can be accelerated. The innovation infrastructure and the agreements (governance) made around intersectoral cooperation and working methods form a model for accelerating the necessary system transformations. This results in keeping care accessible, improving the health of citizens and an attractive labor market around "care for health. Thus, the regiegroep acts as a community of practice. This is in line with the KIA MV approach which involves a problem-oriented and area-oriented approach, attention to roles, interests and alignment in ecosystems and innovative management and organization.Ik heb
