    Frank Suurenbroek | Hogeschool van Amsterdam

Frank Suurenbroek is professor of Spatial Urban Transformation (Lector Bouwtransformatie) in the Faculty of Technology at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences. He has been involved in urban transformation research and practice for over twenty years. Since 2014 he and his interdisciplinary team have been conducting research on urban densification, urban renewal and public spaces, focusing on the physical-social nexus and sustainability. In close collaboration with practice, recent multiyear research projects are: Sensing Streetscapes, Building for well-being, Nature-inclusive Area Development, Identical Strangers, Living the Micro-Live and Making Space for Work. Nai010 publishes: Neuroarchitecture: designing high-rise cities at Eye-level (2023) and Nature-inclusive Urban Development: From experiments to governance (2024).
