An event focused on serious gaming

On December 5, we will organize -together with the Dutch Games Association and VRDays- during Immersive Tech Week (ITW) a special event for (creative) professionals focused on the use of serious gaming with immersive technologies (virtual, augmented and mixed reality) to promote behavioral change in sectors such as education, healthcare, training and consulting. Attending this session is free, and attendees will receive a one-day ticket to Immersive Tech Week.

Workshop Immersive Tech in Serious Gaming for Education and Behavior Change - powered by CLICKNL
During this event, (creative) professionals will gain in-depth insight into how serious games can be used to train staff, for example through virtual simulations that promote behavior change and safety. Our guest speakers from IJsfontein and Raccoon Games, experts in the field of applied games, will explain the power of serious gaming using practical examples from different sectors.

In addition to the presentations, participants will be given a tour of ITW's exhibition floor, where they can experience live demonstrations of serious games and immersive technologies. The event will conclude with a networking reception, where supply and demand will come together, allowing professionals to connect directly with providers of these innovative solutions.

Serious gaming
Serious games have a purpose other than pure entertainment. They are designed to convey specific skills, knowledge and attitudes through learning strategies and game elements that make learning more engaging. These games are increasingly being used to train soft skills such as communication, teamwork and leadership, as well as to encourage behavior change in patients or improve healthcare procedures.
