World Fashion Convention
The IAF’s 34th World Fashion Convention will be co-hosted with IAF member and Dutch Fashion and Textile industry association Modint in the southern Dutch Town of Maastricht (near the German and Belgian borders). This edition of the global apparel Convention will revolve around the term ‘smart’.
Theme: Building a Smart Future for Fashion
In a world where prices cannot drop much lower, boats cannot go much faster and people cannot work much harder, improvements are made only when the business is made smarter. Smart supply chain collaboration, smart new machines, smart materials and above all, smart people, this convention will show many inspiring examples of a smarter apparel supply chain.
The Convention will show how:
- buyers and manufacturers can collaborate in smarter ways
- materials are made smart,
- circularity is providing smart solutions to reducing waste
- smart marketing and sales requires new jobs requiring schools to teach our future industry workers new skills.
- IAF Conventions cater to industry leaders and therefore cover a broad spectre of strategic issues, ranging across the supply chain, from raw materials to retail and from sourcing and supply chain management to market development. The ‘smart’ theme will therefore be explored in various key notes and panel discussions zooming in on these various supply chain elements. IAF Conventions always offer an exciting range of world class speakers coming from major apparel companies, from top consultants, from governments organisations, from top suppliers to the industry.
Shaping the future requires a strong sense of direction. This convention is a unique opportunity to gain the insights necessary to understand where our industry is heading and to translate this understanding into smart actions shaping our industry’s future, one company at a time.
