Nature Inclusive Building - How does it work?

The growth and densification of cities offers opportunities to create attractive, green living environments. Building in a green and nature-inclusive way helps with this. Many municipalities are working on policy to encourage nature-inclusive construction. The Municipality of The Hague has already developed a specific policy instrument for green and nature-inclusive construction in new building initiatives. Architects and developers are also increasingly involved in creating nature-inclusive environments.

To find out more about this, Irene Mulder and Jaakko van 't Spijker share their experiences.

Irene Mulder is a landscape architect and policy officer for the municipality of The Hague and will explain the 'Points system for green and nature-inclusive construction' and discuss its application in building initiatives.

Jaakko van 't Spijker is a partner architect of JVST and will share his experiences with the nature-inclusive residential tower 'Linck', which is being built on the Binkchorst in The Hague.
