Tim Laning is co-founder of Grendel Games, a studio that develops serious games. These are games that serve a social purpose, in which the main goal is to transfer skills or knowledge. An example is the game Underground, which they developed in collaboration with, among others, the University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG). The game centers five different skills that surgeons in training need to master, such as depth perception and the movement of tools.
