Learning to live in an energy efficient home
- ENERGY AND BEHAVIOUR
- DESIGN FOR CHANGE
- KEY ENABLING METHODOLOGY
- BIG GROUP WORKSHOP
Housing can only be energy efficient if residents live energy efficiently. How do we match the priorities of residents with European level sustainability goals? Climate KIC supported the 2nd Skin consortium led by building company BIK bouw and partnered by TU Delft to renovate a pilot block of 12 apartments to become zero-energy in February 2018. A key challenge, and the focus of this workshop, is to support residents in learning to live with new home systems and to learn from the pilot for future projects.
Hands-on
You get to work with tools and insights from the project. These include perspectives of residents, building company and housing corporation embedded in activities and visual materials, as well as pointers to how home systems and interfaces could support residents better. We invite you to think along with us how to benefit the residents, and will later share the workshop results with you.
